Welcome to Onyx Class! Ms Martins and Miss Nicholson (Professional Teaching Partner) work closely together to inspire pupils with a lifelong love of learning. We put the child at the centre of our planning and strive to make every learning opportunity one that is fun, engaging and fulfilling. Our rich and supportive learning environment endeavours to nurture self-confidence and resilience so that pupils challenge themselves and reach their full potential.

At St Mary Cray Primary Academy we base our Literacy planning on the Power of Reading and use the phonics scheme Read Write Inc to embed early reading and writing skills. We follow the Maths Mastery scheme in Numeracy and we follow the Core Curriculum when teaching foundation subjects such as History and Geography.

Outdoor Learning forms and integral part of our pupils' learning at St Mary Cray Primary Academy.  Children have access to a trim trail, large grassy field, allotment and, via our partner school, a swimming pool and Forest School.
